Here at Corona Foothills Middle School we know that student involvement is a powerful predictor of academic success. We strive to provide engaging extra curricular activities for all sorts of student interests.

If you have an interest that might make a great club, please bring the idea to a teacher here on campus; You never know, we've always got room for more clubs!

CURRENT CLUBS

Dungeons and Dragons Club

The Dungeons and Dragons club covers role-playing games and similar activities. However, our main focus is the popular game Dungeons and Dragons. Through this gaming platform and similar games, students learn essential life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, focus and self-control, perspective taking, communication, making connections, taking on challenges, and self-directed, engaged learning. We learn how to role play, how to create a character, how to world build, how to work together and compromise, and how to think of creative solutions for challenges that we face.

Star Parties

The Cienega Astronomy Club meets monthly at the Corona Foothills Middle School observatory on our field for a night of space talk and incredible views. Please check our CFMS events calendar for the next meeting!

Starbase Advanced

Welcome to Starbase Advanced, an exciting and engaging STEM program designed for middle school students! For two semesters, students dive into hands-on, interactive learning experiences that make science and technology come alive.

In the first semester, seventh-graders become junior detectives, using forensic science techniques to solve intriguing ‘crimes’. This hones critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In the second semester, sixth-graders shift the focus to engineering as students design, build, and race their own cars. This project encourages creativity, collaboration, and practical application of engineering principles. Join Starbase Advance and embark on a journey of discovery and innovation!

Teen Court

Teen court is an opportunity for students to learn about the Justice System by getting the opportunity to make a difference in their school community by offering an alternative to traditional discipline. Students take the role of every court officer and give consequences that focus on restoring relationships that have been broken. Teen court is a fantastic way to become involved in the school community and make a difference.
