CURRENT CLUBS

Art Club

Step into a world of creativity and discover an exciting extension of Corona Foothills Middle Schools art program by joining our after-school art club.  Located conveniently on school grounds, this program offers a fantastic opportunity for students to delve deeper into their artistic passions in a familiar and supportive environment. The after-school art program aims to complement classroom learning, allowing students to build upon their artistic foundations and explore new techniques at their own pace. Whether your child dreams of becoming a professional artist or simply enjoys expressing themselves through art, our program fosters growth, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the arts right here on campus.

Our after school art club also goes beyond the classroom by encouraging students to collaborate on projects that benefit our local community. Students will learn the power of art to inspire and connect. Join us as we ignite a passion for art and empower our students to make a difference through their creativity and talent.

Athletics

Athletics

We provide opportunities for students to participate in a competitive athletics program which is a strong component of our culture. The focus is on team building, teamwork, and skill building. We chose coaches who “coach for character” and understand the developmental needs of adolescents.  Sportsmanship is just as important to us as winning.

For more information please visit our athletics page!

Dungeons and Dragons Club

The Dungeons and Dragons club covers role-playing games and similar activities. However, our main focus is the popular game Dungeons and Dragons. Through this gaming platform and similar games, students learn essential life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, focus and self-control, perspective taking, communication, making connections, taking on challenges, and self-directed, engaged learning. We learn how to role play, how to create a character, how to world build, how to work together and compromise, and how to think of creative solutions for challenges that we face.

Orchestra

String orchestra is for students who are learning to play violin, viola, cello, or upright bass. We do start beginners in grade 6, and carry students forward in the other grades. Students are expected to provide their own instruments and class method books, as well as participate in seasonal performances.

Join us for our afternoon Orchestra program. We meet 3 times a week to work on individual skills and group cohesiveness.

Orchestra is a great way to join the Jaguar community and extend your love of music!

Starbase Advanced

Welcome to Starbase Advanced, an exciting and engaging STEM program designed for middle school students! For two semesters, students dive into hands-on, interactive learning experiences that make science and technology come alive.

In the first semester, seventh-graders become junior detectives, using forensic science techniques to solve intriguing ‘crimes’. This hones critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In the second semester, sixth-graders shift the focus to engineering as students design, build, and race their own cars. This project encourages creativity, collaboration, and practical application of engineering principles. Join Starbase Advance and embark on a journey of discovery and innovation!

Teen Court

Teen court is an opportunity for students to learn about the Justice System by getting the opportunity to make a difference in their school community by offering an alternative to traditional discipline. Students take the role of every court officer and give consequences that focus on restoring relationships that have been broken. Teen court is a fantastic way to become involved in the school community and make a difference.
