We are in the home stretch guys! It's hard to believe the year is almost over. With all the commotion and activities that fill up these last few weeks of school, it can be hard to participate in extra things. That being said, everyone needs to find time to eat :-)
This Thursday, May 18th, Pantano's student council is partnered with MOD Pizza for an all day fundraiser. 20% of all sales will be donated to our student council when we show the attached flyer or share the code: MODGIVES20 for online orders. This event is a first of its kind for Pantano as we have never had a student council before- It's a big deal for us!

We have organized an end of the year, promotion field trip for Monday, May 22, 2023 to Round One at the Park Mall.

Promotion is right around the corner for eighth grade students, and it is our hope that every 8th grader and their families can enjoy this event.
Each promoting student is assigned four tickets. Families with multiple promoting students will receive four tickets for the set of siblings. Here is a link to be put on a waiting list for up to two additional tickets should they become available. Wait list for extra tickets
The 8th grade Promotion Ceremony will be live-streamed. A link will be sent out as we near the date.
The last week in May will be a celebration week for our 8th graders. We have planned several fun events.
8th Grade Celebration on Monday, May 22nd. We will be spending the day at Round One!
8th Grade Dance and Barbecue on Tuesday, May 23rd from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
8th Grade Promotion Practice on Wednesday, May 24th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

**UPDATE - Date Change***
In order to give more attention to each athlete, our end-of-the-quarter banquet will be organized by individual sport. The banquets will be held after school beginning at 3:00 p.m. with their teammates and coaches. When we were choosing the start time we took working parents into account, however, there is a significant number of students who are unable to return to school later in the evening. We felt because of that we wanted to make the student's ability to attend a higher priority. Athletic certificates will be handed out and refreshments will be served. Parents are more than welcome to attend. In order for each athlete to enter the banquet, they must have already returned their uniform or have it with them to turn in at the door.
Due to the replacement of the gym floor, we had we adjust the scheduling of our banquets this quarter to take place after we return from spring break. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
On ***Wednesday, March 22nd*** The Wrestling team banquet will be held in the MPR, and The Boy's Soccer team banquet will be held in Ms. Duke's classroom (the art room).
On Thursday, March 23rd The Girl's Basketball team banquet will be held in the MPR, and The Cheer team banquet will be held in Mr. Ellsworth's classroom (room #1801).

Love to Skate? Looking for a fun Friday activity? Come support the Corona Foothills Odyssey of the Mind team Friday, March 3rd at Skate Country! The last chance to buy Valentine's Day Candygrams is this Friday at lunch (or online through Saturday)!💗
A candygram is a lollipop attached to a personalized note (filled out by the kids). PTSA volunteers will deliver the candygrams to the Advisory Base classes on 2/13-2/14. Candygrams cost 50 cents each. If your kid would like to purchase some, please have them bring their spare change up to our table in the MPR during lunch on Friday, 2/10/23.

Wednesday the 25th of January is a half day for students. We will resume our normal schedule on Thursday the 26th of January.
School will be closed on Monday the 16th of January in observance of MLK. We will return to school on our normal schedule on Tuesday the 17th of January
